The Big Day

Bruin had his surgery this past Tuesday (17th). It was just a small procedure where they severed both of his Achilles tendons. It sounds so painful I know but he is such a calm little guy and has handled all of this really well. A lot of you have seen him since then and can see he is doing awesome. He has some new blue casts (that I call his leggings, I gave up on trying to match them to his outfit though) they are thicker and will be on for three weeks this time instead of just one like all the previous sets.

After this set he we wear braces on his feet for 23hrs a day for approx 3-4 months. Then he only has to wear the braces at night and naptime up until he enters kindergarden.

Our New Little Man

Many of you probably know that we had our baby on May 5, 2008. He is so precious. I had almost forgotten how great it is to cuddle a newborn. Our little Bruin was born with club feet. It
was a surprise at birth, but nothing we can't handle.

Hincklee loves her brother. She tries to play blocks and trains, and can't understand why is not interested. She is as funny and sweet as ever and ever the precocious toddler. She is into EVERYTHING and I love her for it! In fact she is eating the red crayon as week speak.

First Timer

So I've started a blog. I was a little apprehensive at first because I though it was mainly for pedophiles and prepubescents, but here I am. I've had many people ask about updates on Bruin and request for photos so this is as good of time as any. Plus I am horrible at keeping a journal and maybe this will help. Forgive me if I am slow to update (I have my hands full), but I will try. And if my page looks funny or you have any cool tips let me know so I can look like I know what I'm doing.
